Arsenal 2-0 PSG: Key takeaways from Champions League clash
1. Arsenal started strong had numerous chances
Mikel Arteta's side took the game to the French champions. In just the eighth minute Saka was allowed to cut in onto his left foot inside the box and bend a curler which went just over Donnarumma's bar.
Arsenal's goal came moments later when Leandro Trossard's cross was headed past the onrushing Donnarumma by Havertz.
Things went from bad to worse for Les Parisens when Saka's set piece arched into the back of the net with no player getting a touch on the ball. In the second half, Havertz set Martinelli up for a volley that flew straight into the Italian goalkeeper's hands.
3. PSG toothless in attack
It took until midway through the second half for Luis Enrique's side to muster any sort of chances. The opportunity came when Lee Kang-In's corner was flicked onto the post by Joao Neves. Moments later Lee Kang-In's effort from a distance was palmed away by David Raya.
PSG's next Champions League match is against PSV at the Parc des Princes on October 22nd.
