French newspaper Le Parisien published a breaking report on Monday evening concerning Morocco international and PSG defender Achraf Hakimi. According to the Parisian local media outlet, Hakimi is under investigation facing rape allegations.
This was the biggest news coming out of the capital related to Paris Saint-Germain and their members, far above those about Lionel Messi getting an award or Kylian Mbappe breaking records at the Parisian club. Simply put, there are lines that can't be crossed and much more important topics than football that must always be respected.
We don't want to take any liberties covering this story, so we're just relying on the information published by Le Parisien and literally (via Google, only with slight/necessary corrections) translating them in order for you to access and read the full content in English. Here is what Le Parisien wrote about the ongoing case of Hakimi's rape allegations:
A young woman went to the police station this weekend, where she said she had been raped by the Paris Saint-Germain player. She reportedly refused to file a complaint, but the prosecution took over the case.
In view of the seriousness of the facts and the notoriety of the alleged perpetrator, the judicial police officer on duty this Sunday immediately called his hierarchy, the staff of the police prefecture, and of Creteil (Val -de-Marne). This Sunday, February 26, a young woman went to the police station in Nogent-sur-Marne (Val-de-Marne), where she told the police that she had been raped by Achraf Hakimi, the right side of Paris Saint-Germain, 24 years old.
The alleged victim, 24, residing in Fontenay-sous-Bois (Val-de-Marne), indicated that he did not wish to file a complaint, but "to make a statement of rape".
The Creteil public prosecutor's office first seized the case on its own before transmitting it to that of Nanterre (Hauts-de-Seine). The facts took place in Boulogne-Billancourt. On Monday, the investigators were working on the file, assembled on the basis of the statements of the complainant, who has not yet been heard by the investigating service.
The facts would have their source on January 16, when a discussion began between Achraf Hakimi and the young woman via the social network Instagram. This Saturday, February 25, at night, the young woman would have gone to the player's home in Boulogne, aboard an Uber that the PSG player would have ordered from her.
At the home of the latter, things get out of hand, according to the words of the young woman. The Morocco international reportedly kissed her on the mouth, lifted her clothes, and kissed her breasts despite her protests. She also claims that the footballer committed penetration despite, again, his protests.
The young victim would have finally managed to free himself from his attacker by pushing him away with his foot. Released, she would then have sent an SMS to a friend who came to pick her up.
Last weekend (Ed. note: Feb. 25/26th), the footballer was forfeited for the OM-PSG match which was played on Sunday evening at Marseille (Bouches-du-Rhone). Achraf Hakimi, suffering thigh pain since returning from the World Cup, had already forfeited last week's game against Lille after getting subbed off in the match against Bayern Munich.
Last weekend, the right side was obviously alone at home. According to social networks, his wife and their two children were on vacation in Dubai.
