25. Kheira Hamraoui

The story of Hamraoui is a sad one. She was assaulted and beaten by men armed with iron bars on her way home on Nov. 4, 2021.

She suffered the aftermath for months.

Hamraoui found a rather supporting dressing room siding with her in that of PSG with teammate Aminata Diallo under investigation, suspected of having ordered the attack on Hamraoui herself.

Coming back to the training ground on April 23, Hamraoui returned to the PSG squad before being removed from it through the summer. She later rejoined the group, last September, and has already earned a place on Gerard Precheur's side.

Hamraoui is now looking forward to representing the France national team in the upcoming World Cup (July through August 2023) with very good chances of making the final list of called-up players next summer if she can keep up with her fantastic level of play after returning to football grounds.
