4. Kylian Mbappe, always decisive

If the match was close to being tied, it was largely because of Kylian Mbappe. The Bondy native, despite seeming 'lost' for a stretch of the second half, was the author of a brace. Both goals (great goals, if you allow me) had a hint of cunning from the 24-year-old French forward. The collective work cannot be denied or hidden, referring above all to the assists of Achraf Hakimi and the debutant Randal Kolo Muani, but it is also undeniable that the presence of the club's all-time top scorer conditions any adverse context.

It's strange to talk about Mbappe as a positive point after an overall mediocre game, but the data is there. Even with gaps in performance, the Parisian number 7 is the most decisive player on the team.
