PSG held their nerve on Tuesday night against Barcelona in a game that had high stakes. Les Parisiens put in a gargantuan effort to beat Barcelona 1-4 and progress to the semi-finals of the Champions League.

Here at PSG Post, we delve into three things we noticed as Luis Enrique's side pulled off a potential season-defining result.

1. FC Barcelona were defending better with 11 men

Despite being camped in PSG's own half Barcelona was dealing with Luis Enrique's side. Araujo did well against Mbappe, Cubarsi was putting in challenges and even Cancelo was able to withstand Dembele for a period on the left side.

They even took the lead when Yamal got the better of Nuno Mendes before crossing the ball in for Raphinha to shin the ball in. This made the game more open for Barcelona which enabled chances such as Lewandowski's shot just over the bar in the 20th minute.

2. FC Barcelona's attack was less dangerous with 10 men

Xavi's side was reduced to 10 men when Ronald Araujo barged Barcola as he was going through on goal in the 30th minute. Xavi had to substitute Lamine Yamal which limited their attack as he was a real threat to pace.

Lewandowski and Raphinha were also left isolated when Yamal went off which meant it was hard to create chances for them.

3. FC Barcelona couldn't cope with Dembele and Mbappe

Barcelona's defense had no answer for Dembele or Mbappe throughout the 90 minutes. Mbappe was much better this game compared to the first leg where he was ineffective.

In the second leg, the French captain scored twice but could have had more if his effort outside the box wasn't saved by the goalkeeper. Ousmane Dembele scored again in the second leg, had a volley that flew wide from Nuno Mendes's delivery, and forced Joao Cancelo to dive in for a penalty which Mbappe converted.
