3. Messi and Mbappe find solace in individual record-chasing
This is all that is left for PSG, or more precisely, PSG players and fans to pay attention to through the next few weeks.
Messi and Mbappe keep pilling up records one after another and they are still playing in 45-minute bursts in order to achieve them.
On Friday, Mbappe became the solo top-goalscorer of Ligue 1 with 22 goals through 32 matchdays (he's actually played 28 games) leading Lille's Jonathan David (21) by one goal having appeared in three fewer matches.
Messi is separating wildly from the pack in the assists category after getting another one last Friday to reach 15 assists in the Ligue 1 season (27 games played).
There is still a chance Neymar (11) ends the season inside the top-3 assisters of the year. Only one other player (Caio Henrique, 9) has more than 8 assists through MD32 so it's fair to assume that if everybody keeps their season-long pace Neymar will still finish second or third in the standings.
On a parallel note, Gigio Donnarumma failed to earn a clean sheet by just a few minutes, still sitting at 12 such outings in 32 games played. Brice Samba and Yehvann Diouf have 13 clean sheets each, so there is still time for Donnarumma and PSG to end the season with as many no-goals-allowed performances as anyone in the French top-flight division.
