Paris tamed Brest at the Stade Roudourou at Guingamp 3-0 in the first leg of the Champions League playoff. It is the second time in history that two French teams faced each other in the Champions League.

The Match

In a flamboyant atmosphere, Brest hosted Paris for the first leg of the Champions League playoff. Both sides know each other very well having faced each other in the last two weeks, a game that provided plenty of entertainment, and this game was no different.

After six minutes, Paris were awarded a penalty for a handball of Lees Melou, which was scored by Vitinha. This goal opened the game with the hosts pushing to equalise. However, after one of the numerous offensive led by Eric Roy's side, Paris delivered a massive blow to the hosts as Dembélé scored on a counterattack at the 44th minute to go two goals up at the half.

The second half started with many offensive from Brest but saw the posts or Donnarumma standing in their way. The decisive blow came at the 66th minute as Dembélé scored his second goal of the night, securing the win for his team.

Very good game from the Italian goalkeeper that prevented the hosts from scoring many times. The former AC Milan player was also saved three times by his posts.

Solid outing from Hakimi.

The centre back had a lot to deal with as he was facing Ludovic Ajorque, and dealt with it pretty well, the Ecuadorian was also decisive when stopping a 1-vs-1 opportunity for Sima in the first half.

Really solid game from the captain at the occasion of his 100th Champions League game with the club.

6 - Nuno Mendes

Good game from Mendes he came out on top of most of his contest against Faivre, Camara or Balde.

Good game from Neves, the new "Veratti" displayed many of his qualities in this game.

8 - Vitinha

Certainly the best player on the pitch tonight, the Portuguese was precious for his side, giving balance to his team with or without the ball.

6.5 - Désiré Doué

The presence of Doué in the starting line-up may have come to a surprise with Kvaratskhelia starting this game on the bench. However, the former Rennes player showed once again that he could be an important piece of Luis Enrique's system in the future.

8 - Ousmane Dembélé

Paris was ruthless in front of the goal tonight, at the image of Ousmane Dembélé in recent weeks. The Frenchman does not miss many chances and that is what made the difference in this game.
