Paris Saint-Germain vs RC Lens: Predicted lineup for Trophée des Champions battle

On Sunday, Paris Saint-Germain will face RC Lens in the Trophée des Champions, the opening clash of the 2026-2027 Ligue 1 season that will see the best two teams of the last season. Earlier this week, the back-to-back Champions League defeated the 2026 Europa League winners Aston Villa to retain their UEFA Super Cup title.

Luis Enrique and his team who just secured the signings of both Ferran Torres and Mika Godts could have a chance to win a second trophy already this season.

PSG Predicted Lineup vs. RC Lens (4-3-3)

GK: Matvey Safonov - The Russian should be the one taking place in between the post for PSG against as they will look to secure a second trophy this week.

RB: Achraf Hakimi - The Moroccan made his debut this season against Aston Villa in the UEFA Super Cup and will likely play a huge role against their rivals Lens and their new coach.

CB: Illia Zabarnyi - The Ukraine international centre-back could be the first change made by Luis Enrique as Marquinhos could be starting this game on the bench.

CB: Willian Pacho - The Ecuador international had a lot of work against Unai Emery's Aston Villa as he battled against Madjo for most of the game, this time around, he will face Lens and Thauvin.

LB: Nuno Mendes - The Portuguese left-back could be replaced by Lucas Digne who could have a great opportunity to make his first start with PSG. However, Mendes should get the nod and debut this game.

CDM: Vitinha - The Portuguese maestro will start and lead his team into this game that delivered plenty of entertainments last season.

CM: Fabian Ruiz - The 2026 World Cup winner with Spain should get the nod and start this game ahead of Warren Zaire-Emery.

CM: Joao Neves - He will likely start this clash in the Trophée des Champions, though, he could be replaced by either Dro Fernandez or Senny Mayulu.

RW: Désiré Doué - The France international made his return to the competition against Aston Villa in the Super Cup and scored the decisive goal that helped his team secure the victory.

LW: Khvicha Kvaratskhelia - The Georgian started the season as he ended it. He seemed once again unstoppable as he also scored a wonderful goal to open the scoring.

ST: Maghnes Akliouche - While Ousmane Dembélé made his return against Villa coming off the bench, Akliouche should remain in the starting lineup.
