Donnarumma and Italy failed to overturn their one-goal deficit against Germany in the second-leg of the Nations League quarterfinal. However, the 2020 Euro winners were able to level the score after trailing by three goals in the second half of the game.

UEFA Nations League, Portugal 5-2 Denmark (5-3 agg.)
Portugal: Vitinha, Nuno Mendes, Gonçalo Ramos, Joao Neves.
Portugal was in tough situation after their surprising 1-0 defeat at the hands of Denmark in the first-leg. However, they managed to qualify for the next round in great fashion. Vitinha and Nuno Mendes started in this game, while Gonçalo Ramos came on late. Mendes provided an assist to Trincao to level the score on aggregate while Gonçalo Ramos sealed the win for Portugal at the end of extra-time. Joao Neves did not participate to this game.
