After their impressive 6-0 victory against Villareal in the Champions League earlier this week, Paris Saint-Germain prepare to face relegation-threatened side Troyes at the Parc des Princes. It will be their last game before the international break that will see several PSG players flyout to represent their respective countries.
The Parisians who managed a 10-game winning streak in all competition will look to make it 11 against a fairly easy opponent who has struggle recently, despite their most recent win against Le Mans last weekend.
The Parisians will play this game without six first team players with Nuno Mendes, Ousmane Dembélé, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Marquinhos and Maghnes Akliouche all injured while Achraf Hakimi is rested by Luis Enrique for this game.
Therefore, it is Warren Zaire-Emery who will start at right-back while Hernandez is preferred to Lucas Digne on the left with Zabarnyi and Pacho at centre-back. Senny Mayulu is set to start in midfield alongside Vitinha and Ruiz. Meanwhile, Torres Doué and Godts lead the lign.
Starting Lineups:
Paris Saint-Germain's starting XI: Safonov; Zabarnyi, Pacho, Hernandez, Warren Zaire-Emery; Vitinha, Ruiz, Mayulu; Godts, Torres, Doué.
Troyes' starting XI: Konaté; Monfray, Diaz, Maronnier, Boura; Mille, Diop, Ifnaoui, Diawara, Karim; Ripart.
Paris secure 11th consecutive win
The host had almost a perfrect start, but Konaté made a superb save from close range as he deflected Mayulu's effort on the crossbar after three minutes. Less than one minute later the youngster had another chance to score but his effort wen just wide.
In the first 20 minutes, Paris had most of the ball as they dominated the game, but the visitors managed to hold onto the ball and create opportunities when breaking forward. A well-organised Troyes side then made it difficult for the Parisians to create clear cut chances in the following 10 minutes.
Troyes' goalkeeper was definitely the man of this first half with another remakable save on Ferran Torres' close range shot. However, he was powerless when Zabarnyi opened the score with a well-placed header (39'). Just before the break, the hosts had two big chances through Torres but were denied by Konaté once again.
At the start of the second half, Troyes came close to stun PSG, but Ripart's placed his shot narrowly wide due to Zabarnyi's pressure. The game opened up from then and both teams created numerous chances with Konaté denying Torres many times with superb interventions.
The Parisians were able to confortably see out the game, making it eight consecutive win in Ligue 1 to reclaim the top spot of the league before heading into the international window.
