PSG return to league action when they take on Metz on Saturday evening. Luis Enrique's side were held to a frustrating 0-0 draw on midweek against Athletic Bilbao at the San Mames. The Basque side showed resilience to keep the European champions at bay.
They followed up an impressive showing at home to Atletico Madrid with an arguably even more impressive one against Luis Enrique's side. Bilbao need all the points they can get as they are near the bottom of the table in this season's league phase. Les Parisiens should not give up hope, as they struggled in last season's league phase before going on to win the tournament. The French champions should aim to finish in the top eight to avoid playing two extra games in this season's Champions League.
PSG were comfortable in their last league game against Rennes, where they ran out 5-0 winners at home. It was quite an impressive victory, considering that Rennes are battling it out for a European place. They should not have many issues on Saturday against Metz, as they are the league's basement side. Despite this, they can't take their opponents for granted as Ligue 1 has shown, whenever you underestimate your opposition your at risk of dropping points. It would be extremely concerning if Luis Enrique's side doesn't win against Metz as they have only won three league games all season.

Les Parisiens should be on it from the start, as they know they have serious competition for their Ligue 1 title for the first time in five years. If they play in first gear, they should not have any problems against Ligue 1's basement side. Expect nothing less than a comprehensive PSG victory.
