Les Parisiens play their hardest league game of the season when they visit Marseille at the Stade de Velodrome on Sunday. Although, PSG have been the better side then Marseille over the last decade they can't take their opponents for granted as they will be more determined then ever to beat PSG now that they are European champions. This will hurt Marseille because they were the first French side to win the Champions League.
Both sides were involved in the Champions League in midweek. Marseille narrowly lost 2-1 to Real Madrid at the Bernabeu while PSG dispatched Atlanta 4-0 at the Parc Des Princes. Roberta De Zerbi will be pleased that his side gave Real Madrid a run for their money given the talent difference between the two sides while Luis Enrique will be content that his side has not skipped a beat from last season's Champions League campaign.
Marseille could have had a better start to the Ligue 1 season. Les Olympiens have lost two of their four league games (one was away to Lyon and the other was at Rennes) .This contrasts to PSG who have won all their league games.
