PSG return to league action when they travel to the Decathlon Arena to play Lille on Matchday 7 of the Ligue 1 season. Luis Enrique's side are coming off the back of an impressive 1-2 win over Barcelona at the Estadi Olimpic Lluis Companys on Wednesday night.

PSG were not favourites coming into that game as they had several players missing through injury such as Khvicha, Désiré Doué and Ousmane Dembélé. They prevailed on the day courtesy of goals from Senny Mayulu and Gonçalcalo Ramos. The players showed great character to comeback after Ferran Torres put the Spanish champions 1-0 up in the first 20 minutes.

Les Parisiens will gain confidence from the victory as they did it without a number of key players. Hansi Flick will be disheartened by the result as in recent years they have struggled against tough opposition in the Champions League. The result is not season defining as they are only in the league phase of the tournament. The Blaugrana can use this as a learning curve when they enter the knockout phase of the competition.

The game on the weekend will be intriguing for Lucas Chevalier as it is his former club. It will be interesting to see how he plays as he might not get the warmest reception against his former club.

Here is our preview of Lille vs PSG for Matchday 7 of the Ligue 1 campaign.

Prediction: Lille 1-1 PSG

The French champions are in for a tough test when they play a Lille side that has not lost three games in a row for a while. Lille will be up for the encounter against Luis Enrique's side as they will be eager to get one over the European champions. It is hard to look past a score draw particularly if Les Parisens are complacent.
