Julian Alvarez could be on the move from Atlético Madrid this summer and PSG is one of his possible landing spot. The 2022 World Cup winner with Argentina is currently not on the market but his relationship with the club could open the door for a departure this summer with clubs like Barcelona, Arsenal and PSG all lining up to win the race to sign the 26-year-old striker.

While Barcelona have reportedly the favours of the player, they are in no position to meet the Colchoneros' asking price of €125m (£108m). On the other end, the Gunners who are set to clash with PSG could align with price tag and have been trying to sign the Argentine for a long time. Meanwhile, PSG are in an advantageous position as they are able to meet Atlético's valuation of the player while offering him a massive chance to compete for many prestigious trophies in the future.

Paris Saint-Germain are ready to make a move for Atlético Madrid's striker

Despite their extraordinary fire power, Luis Enrique and his board seem ready to bolster their offensive option with the addition of the former Manchester City star. To make space for him, the club could decide to sell Gonçalo Ramos. The Portuguese striker has never been able to become an important part of the squad, as he failed to gain minutes regularly under Luis Enrique.

Despite his marginal role within the squad, the former Benfica star kept a high value on the transfer market, with several big European teams ready to make an offer. The club will certainly not make any profit from his transfer after signing him for over €80m two years ago.

How could Luis Enrique make it work if Alvarez signs for the club?

The most pressing question then becomes: How could Luis Enrique accomodate Julian Alvarez and incorporate him into his system. Ousmane Dembélé has been playing as a false nine in PSG's formation and he has thrived, leading the team to a historical treble while earning the 2025 Ballon d'Or. Alvarez has all the abilities to play in the same role and remain an incredible threat in front of goals.

While it is not expected to see Dembélé seat on the bench, it could mean that Désiré Doué could be the victim of Alvarez's arrival as Dembélé could slot as a right winger once again with Khvicha Kvaratskhelia on the left.
