Amid growing transfer rumors, recent reports have confirmed speculations that Napoli winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia is close to joining the French giants. Back in the summer PSG supposedly offered €200 million to acquire both Kvaratskhelia and his Napoli team-mate Victor Osimhen. Although Napoli closed the door on a potential move back then, it's a huge embarrassment for them as the deal is likely to be worth between €60m ($61m) and €65m for the Napoli winger who was the best player in Serie A. According to ESPN a full agreement between the clubs is expected on today with the player set to travel to Paris later this week to sign his contract.

Since joining Napoli in 2022, Kvaratskhelia has been a standout performer, leading the team with 59 goal contributions. He's also won 4 player of the month awards which is the most for any Napoli player in the duration and was also honoured with the Seria A MVP award in 2022-23. He was also the most pivotal figure when Napoli ended their 33-year wait for the Scudetto in May 2023. Despite his significant impact on the club and its history, he only ranks as the 16th highest earner at the club with a base salary of €2,050,000 per year which translates to approximately €39,423 per week, excluding bonuses.

It also allows the manager to start with the most aggressive 11 on the pitch as starting Kvara does not hinder Barcola or Doue's chances to play but will offer competition to the young guns as they'd need to work hard and put a value on that starting spot. He could also help guide a relatively inexperienced attacking unit and provide a sense of stability in high-pressure moments, particularly in crucial Champions League encounters while also giving PSG another valuable outlet for goals.
