PSG is set to battle Hansi Flick's Barcelona on Matchday 2 of the Champions League group phase. The Parisians secured a dominant win against Italian side Atalanta in the European debut and will now face one of the best European side of last season in a heavyweight clash.

While both sides have suffered several injuries in their squad ahead of the game, they will still managed to feature some of their best players. For this game, Luis Enrique had to do without Ousmane Dembélé, Désiré Doué, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Marquinhos. However, the Spaniard coach registered the return of Joao Neves who will start on the bench while Zaire-Emery features alongside Vitinha and Fabian Ruiz in midfield. Additionally, Senny Mayulu will feature as a false nine while Gonçalo Ramos starts on the bench.

Paris Saint-Germain's starting XI: Chevalier; Pacho, Zabarnyi, Hakimi, Nuno Mendes; Vitinha, Warren Zaire-Emery, Fabian Ruiz; Barcola, Mayulu, Mbaye.

Barcelona's starting XI: Szczęsny; Cubarsi, Garcia, Koundé, Gerard Martin; De Jong, Pedri, Olmo, Lamine Yamal, Rashford; Torres.

PSG won it late in Barcelona

After 10 minutes, in a very even contest so far, Illia Zabarnyi had the first half chance of the game. However, his header could not find its way in the back of Szczęsny's net. Though, shortly after, Ferran Torres had a remarkable opportunity to fire his side ahead as he went past Chevalier, but saw Zabarnyi make a fantastic tackle to deny him the goal.

Inside 19 minutes the hosts opened the score through Ferran Torres who was perfectly set up by Marcus Rashford. Vitinha gave the ball away in his own half which quickly led to Barcelona's goal. Following the goal, the hosts slowly took control of the game, putting Luis Enrique's side on the back foot.

Just before halftime, Senny Mayulu leveled the game after a wonderful run from Nuno Mendes who then perfectly squared the ball to the PSG Academy graduate (38'). Mayulu scored the first goal of his season, when his side needed it the most. Moments after, Barcola missed another big chance to turn the game around as the momentum of the game seems to have shifted between the two teams.

PSG picked up right where they left off, carrying their first half intensity into the second period as they created several chances to take the lead inside the first 10 minutes. Despite their domination on the game, the hosts remained dangerous, as Hakimi made an incredible goal line clearance to keep the game level. With less than eight minutes left in the game, substitute Kang-In Lee came close to give the lead to Paris but his strike hit the post.

Once again, in the dying embers of the game substitute Gonçalo Ramos had a massive impact on the game and scored the winner for PSG. The Portuguese striker scored his third goal of the season, all coming off the bench (90').

Up next, Paris Saint-Germain will travel to the north of France to face Lille on Matchday 7 of the Ligue 1 McDonald's, which will be their last game before the international break.
