Ahead of the upcoming international window, Didier Deschamps France's national team head coach unveiled the names of the 23 players selected to represent the country on September 5 and September 9 against Ukraine at the Tarczynski Arena and Iceland at the Parc des Princes in the World Cup Qualifiers.
The 2022 World Cup runner up will open their Group Stage Qualifiers in a relatively easy group for them and will not only face Ukraine and Iceland, but also Azerbaijan.
5 PSG players called-up for the World Cup Qualifiers
Amongst the 23 players called-up for these important games, five PSG players were called-up with Ousmane Dembélé, Désiré Doué, Lucas Chevalier, Bradley Barcola and Lucas Hernandez. While the presences of Chevalier, Doué, Barcola and Dembélé came to no surprise following their impressive performances in club and with the national team last season, the selection of Lucas Hernandez could be a surprise to some observers.
The former Atlético Madrid and Bayern Munich player has been selected to represent France despite his lack of playing time in Luis Enrique's rotation. Meanwhile, Warren Zaire-Emery has been left out of the national team for the upcoming window, which is certainly due to his limited time on the pitch with PSG.
Additionally, former PSG player Kylian Mbappé is part of the squad alongside Michael Olise who is reportedly linked to PSG by several outlets, including Florian Plettenburg.

Additionally, club captain Marquinhos is set to represent Brazil in the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers as his country will face Chile and Bolivia on September 5 and September 10 in two crucial games as the team led by Carlo Ancelotti hopes to secure their spot for the next World Cup.
