The Parisians secured their third consecutive win in Ligue 1 with their 3-1 home victory over Le Mans, a newly promoted side. Luis Enrique heavily rotated his team ahead of the European clash against Man City on Wednesday.

Now the European Champions have completely turned around their disappointing start and could hope for more in the league.

Here are the three main talking points following a convincing win against Le Mans.

Three main talking points following PSG's victory against Le Mans

1- First home win in Ligue 1

The club only played twice at home this season, losing to Monaco before securing their first home win against Le Mans which put them 6th in the Ligue 1 table, just three points behind the leaders, Les Monégasques.

Despite a very disappointing start in Ligue 1 this season, the Parisians are still close to the top of the league and could already climb on the podium next week as they will face Strasbourg.

2- Maghnes Akliouche scored his first goal for the team

The Frenchman signed this summer for PSG and was mostly expected to come off the bench this season behind Désiré Doué on the right wing. In his first few games, he showcased his talent and versatility which were the main reasons behind his recruitment.

Ahead of the clash against Manchester City next week, he delivered a very good performance against newly promoted side Le Mans and scored his first goal for the club in their 3-1 home victory. He is proving that he could be more than a second string in the future, even more as some of his teammates have seen their form fluctuate since the beginning of the current campaign.

3- Mika Godts is still struggling to adapt

Against Le Mans, Luis Enrique decided to rest most of his usual starters ahead of the clash against Man City in the Champions League. Therefore, he had a perfect occasion to show himself just like Akliouche did. However, the Belgian international winger failed to do so and appeared to struggle to make differences in one-on-one situations. He also had much troubles to combine with his teammates throughout this game.

Godts remain relatively young and could need much more time to adapt to a new city, a new club and environment. Though when we will reach the later stage of the season, when games will be much more important he will need to perform to keep playing consistently.
