France ended the November international break with a commendable 1-3 win against the Italians at San Siro on Sunday night.

The result means that Didier Deschamps side top their Nations League group ahead of the Azzurri on goal difference. Despite scoring three goals creativity still remains an issue for Les Bleus ahead of the 2026 World Cup.

Two PSG players, Randal Kolo Muani and Bradley Barcola, featured in Les Bleus' final international game this year. Here at PSG Post, we analyse how Kolo Muani and Barcola performed against the Italians.

Randal Kolo Muani did not stake his claim to be France's number 9

Kolo Muani may need to perform better if he wants to be lead the line for Deschamps side long term. The 25-year-old did not do himself any favours on Sunday night as he was thwarted anytime he was close to the Italian goal.

He has stern competition from Marcus Thuram. Thuram has had a great season thus far for Inter Milan, scoring seven goals and notching two assists in 12 games. If Thuram can translate his performances for Inter onto the international stage for France, then Kolo Muani's place in the starting eleven will be under threat.

Bradley Barcola had limited time to make an impact

While Kolo Muani started for France, Barcola came off the bench in the last 12 minutes. The 22-year-old could have taken better care of the ball when being dispossessed several times. Barcola has had a great start to the season with PSG, so fans of the French club will be delighted that he had a limited game time on Sunday night.
